A narrative synthesis was conducted to analyze the data from included studies, considering bias risk and quality assessment. It examined similarities and differences, justifications for tooth extractions, research design, and factors influencing results. The study also examined differences and subgroup analysis.

Extracting and synthesizing data

A narrative synthesis was carried out after taking into account the risk of bias of the included studies (e.g., how well the included studies addressed the review objectives and allowed for a quality assessment in terms of the quantity and kind of teeth extractions). This included examining the similarities and differences between the findings of the various studies as well as the various justifications for tooth extraction that were found in the included studies. The quantity of studies, the rationale for the extractions, and the outcomes of the included research were all factors that we methodically took into account.

The research design, place, population, time, culture, and results of each included study were then explained. These factors were given as justifications for the extractions and were shown as percentage with 95% confidence intervals. To find commonalities among investigations, acquired data sets were converted into a descriptive or perhaps statistical format. To what degree the results of the studies might have been influenced by variables like methodological differences between studies or variable characteristics of the populations (i.e., heterogeneity between and within studies) was examined, along with reasons for differences (i.e., variability) in outcomes, study designs, populations, settings, cultures, countries, and patient characteristics. To find trends among the included studies and investigate the necessity of subgroup analysis, these data were summarized.
