Radiographic findings show adequate parallelism of roots, except for mesially pointed upper right lateral incisor and upper premolars. Second-order bends were added to rectify this. Posttreatment cephalometric readings showed decreased ANB, Wits, and MMPA values, with top and lower incisors retroclined.

Making space for missing middle incisor (7)

Radiographic discoveries.

The final OPG revealed that the roots are usually of adequate parallelism, with the exception of the upper right lateral incisor and upper premolars, which seemed to be mesially pointed. To rectify this, second-order bends were added to a 0.019 x 0.025" SS arch wire during the case's final process. The location of the growing lower-third molars has not changed significantly, and they remain unerupted.

The long cone PA demonstrated strong root parallelism around the upper left central incisor space, which is appropriate for implant insertion; however, the roots tip of the upper right central and lateral were slightly blunted. No more pathology or aberrant anatomy were seen [Figure 8].

The posttreatment cephalometric reading [Figure 9] along with analysis [Table 1] revealed that the ANB value was decreased from 6° to 4°. Unexpectedly, the Wits have decreased, suggesting an enhancement in the skeletal arrangement. The lower anterior face height proportion did not alter considerably, but the MMPA value increased by 2° throughout treatment, indicating that the anterior face grew more than the posterior face.

During the treatment, the top incisors were retroclined at 14° and the lower ones were proclined by 8°; this is typical, and the change was seen in the reduced overjet. The interincisal angle was adjusted to the normal range in order to enhance a stability prognosis. The connection between the lower lip and the E-plane also changed significantly as a result of the improvement.

  • Second-order bends were added to a 0.019 x 0.025" SS arch wire to rectify this.
  • The location of the growing lower-third molars remains unerupted.
  • Long cone PA showed strong root parallelism around the upper left central incisor space.
  • Post-treatment cephalometric reading revealed decreased ANB value from 6° to 4°, Wits decreased, and MMPA value increased by 2°.
  • Top incisors retroclined at 14°, lower ones proclined by 8°, and the interincisal angle adjusted to normal range.
  • Significant change in the connection between the lower lip and the E-plane due to the improvement.
